Hi everyone! Just wondering if anyone knows or has experience with this.

1) Find viral videos or something and re-upload
2) Get lots of subs and watching
3) Delete videos
4) Upload different videos to the channel and make it look like a real nice legitimate channel
5) Apply for monetization

Does this work? Still on a mission to find a way to get monetization for free or low cost...

only public watch hours will be counted so removing the video removes the watch hours
no use in trying this method

If you delete videos you lose the watch time.

I am more concerned with getting Subscribers. I appreciate your responses, but I am happy to use this method if it will be approved for monetization if I get enough views on my public videos.

Yes you can do it, you can also add your content ID to monetize them
But you may get copyright strike if the owners find out

Honestly, you could probably upload the viral videos with some original content at the end then cut out the viral part with the YouTube editor before applying.

I can get view hours through social media on real videos, but they don't subscribe.

Also if I can make the niche a bit similar to the deleted videos, some of those subs will still watch and like and comment on my original uploads.

1. after you delete your videos, youtube lifetime analytics may still show the collected views and watchtime but this does not mean that those views and watchtime currently exists on your channel.
deleted videos = lost views & watchtime.

you cannot apply for monetization without having 4000 hours watchtime.

2. however one advantage to this method is the fact that you will gain subs.
youtubes monetization criteria means that you need a minimum of 1000 subs and 4000 hours.
your subs will remain and will be good for ypp threshold, but you will just need to collect views and watchtime on original content so that you can apply.

3. if you want a bypass with re used without deleting videos, do the following:
create viral re used video and add original content to the ending part of this video,in your video editor.
do the same method on all your viral video uploads.
add fresh original Content to the end of each viral video.
use the power of the viral content to enter youtube recommendations, get views and go viral.
once you gain enough views and watchtime, now don't delete the re used viral videos.
just use YouTube editor and trim out the re used content part on all your viral videos, leaving only the original content part that was added to the end of each viral video.

therefore, the videos aren't deleted, just a portion of the videos are trimmed out.
now you preserve the views and watchtime that the viral videos got, and now it's left on with the original content.

now apply for monetization.
you will be approved!!

Yeah, but some times it doesn't work especially if the original content was a very minute portion of the video.

If you don't stay under the radar, the moment any of your video goes viral, you will get a copyright strike and the money is gone.

You keep doing it again and again and soon, your account will be gone too(along with the subscribers).
