Same. I think it's available for a selection of channels. or you can go to https://www.youtube.com/handle see if channel is eligible

No you can't do it with any account. Only accounts that got the email/notification to change their handle are eligible.

Also, the big names are already reserved. Because if your channel have personalized url with the name "Happycats" then this name is already reserved for this channel and one can register-it.

I didn't say all channels can do it today. All channels will be able to do it within next 2 weeks. We don't know the exact date but sometime in the next approximately 2 weeks all channels will have access to handles. Then the bots will be able to register for thousands of channels.
 
There's a big opportunity if someone manages to automate a bot that snags a bunch of high value names, it's going to be competitive AF however to land them as as soon as this is public everyone will pounce at that opportunity.

This seems pretty important! Locking up a unique short or interesting handle can make your channel worth much more on the market.

Not available for my channels yet, but I will be thinking of some short names to try when it comes up!

Many names are already reserved for channels that already have a username, but still, should be some good selection for the rest of us.

Just got the email for this, what are some ways to be able to effectively utilize YouTube handles? I assume you can just use @ *Handlehere* to tag someone in a title or comment

I already set my channel's handle as i received notification email from youtube.
 
What are handles use for? an user said they have more than 1000 youtube accounts using bots, how is it possible? How can you access to so many accounts?

I was somehow able to reserve three different handles so far on just one account. Does anyone know what the limit is?

That will be good, and it will add more engagement between creator and audience.

Think about Twitter and Instagram. Usernames like "Crypto" or "Finance" would be worth a lot of money. We have the chance to try and register interesting short usernames that we can use to 1) Become popular and grow our channels 2) Sell to other people.
