YouTube Duplicate Content

Hi everyone.

I need your return of experience about duplicate content. Let me give you the context:

I currently have a YouTube channel that I grew to quite a lot of subs and views and care a lot about.

The thing is that the niche is risky and my channel is at risk of being banned anytime. In the case of this happening I created some backup channels where I repost my content. In every repost, I cut some parts of the OG vid and sometimes even add some content.

Is it enough to not be considered as duplicate content ?

My channel is not monetized and I am not planning to do it ever. So is it a big deal to even have duplicate content ? I read on here that when duplicate content is detected by YouTube, your channel or video will be demonitized, but will it affect the rankings and overall impressions of the channel ?

If a content has a duplicate, youtube will detect it and it will notify you that a duplicate content was uploaded

So it will notify the channel where the OG content is ? Or both channels

You need to modify it well enought but also depends what are you trying to copy and who you will get some eyes on you not youtube but also other people that could recognize or report your account, so is not only youtube just edit pretty well the videos but there is always a chance.

If people can recognise your content they can report it and you will get banned anyway.
 
What kind of channel content makes you think it could be banned at any time?

Election stuff?
 
You are not copying someone's elese content. You are posting on own channels. Who will give you strike for this? But I have one question, are you getting good views on those other channels also?
 
I personally think, only repetitive/reuse content policies may apply.. but you don't need to worry unless those channels are above million.

If everyone just copy paste their own channels then it would be a big Chaos on YouTube lol so caution is very recommended. good luck
 
If your channel have many subscriber so I suggest you to avoid duplicate content.

To answer to you, the other channels are not getting good views at all. Only a few vids manage to rank nicely and get some good views but the majority is pretty bad imo.

Now, I only put a small animated introduction of 15sec at the start of each vid to repost them on other channels. No issues so far.
 
If you reupload too much, even if not monetized, YouTube still can ban you for Spam which is against their policy and delete your channel(s). Recently there was a big ban of channels, because of Spam, which later turned out to be a mistake from YouTube side, but many channels went under for unknown reasons.
