Just a real quick question if any experts or people in the know can advise please!

If you were to buy a Youtube account, with total views exceeding 500K+ in the past 2 years and it does not appear to have been monetised so far, would it be fairly straightforward to advertise/adsense in order to earn from it?

I know there are lots of factors unknown such as current views and such like which would massively effect the outcome, but just in general terms would it be fairly easy.

Thanks

That sounds fishy man, nobody can really give you the right advice on that one without seeing the account first.

Yeah I get ya, its just an account I have come across which is fairly inactive now but has those figures. I was considering trying to get in touch to buy it, or failing that may be worthwhile trying to replicate something similar.

500k views in 2 years are terrible and hold very little value.
If it was 500k views a month and monetized it would be worth somewhere around $1-5k.
And without knowing the channel, we will have no idea to even guess the earnings. From niche to niche the CPM can vary by up to 100x.

Thanks dude that’s put a better perspective on it, might have gotten a little carried away with it

It depends on what the channel is currently capable of. I mean you just can't expect your video to go viral just because this channel performed well 2 years ago. Ask the owner to publish a new upload and see if it's worth.

Not worth it.
Only matters is if it has real subscribers which will see your video of you uploaded
