Hi BHW Members,

Hope you all are doing well,

I have a chance to purchase a channel, Made in 2011, with 6 Million Views,

all videos are monetised by real content owner, so Channel earnings are only 1$ in last 4 years, but I have new content in that niche only

Channel is having 4k Subscribers

Should I purchase it or not ? and what is average price i should pay for that channel ?

Views mean jack shit for a channel's worth.

Subscribers matter but are they real ?. Look at his channel engagement and see if the subscribers are real, its easy to tell. If they are then i would for sure purchase it as that is an awesome channel to have. If they are fake, run like there's a tsunami behind ya

Not worth much.
If the channel made just 1$ over the last 4 years it means the clips had no traffic which means his subscribers are fake or just old subscribers (older than 4 years)
This means that an extremly high % of these subscribers doesnt exist anymore.

6 Million views channel have, and each video is having more than 10k views

But I checked, everything is genuine on his channel, subscribers, views

only his videos are claimed by original creator that's why his earnings are almost 0

Sorry i read your explanation wrong.I thought he was the owner of content.
To value the account please check the amount of subscribers from the last 12 months and the amount of views from the last month.

I don't think it worth anything ... If that channel got a complaint for the copyright issue you can't monetize that channel from Adsense , yet you can use other methods on that channel.

Channel still have monetisation enabled, and their won't be any complaint in future I'm sure and per day channel is getting 4k views now and last video was uploaded 3 years back

The channel has really not much value.
4k views not monetized isnt worth much even if you upload new vids and are able to redirect some of that traffic.

Views are not moentised because they are claimed by origianl channel as the guy was stealing videos

Would the owner really sell such an account? One with 6M views?

I would if my subs were shit.

So they are useless since they can't be monetized even in the future

Can you guys even more terrible advice ?. What does it matter if the subscribers are from a century ago or a second ago. It doesn't matter if they don't engage.

You guys are completely clueless when it comes to Youtube.

OP: Again, if the subs are real and the videos are CLAIMED but the channel doesn't have a copyright strike (there is a difference), don't hesitate and buy the channel. Actually sell it to me, i would gladly take it off your hands (after checking the subs are real). And i haven't bought youtube channels so i have no idea what the average price is.

6 million views don't mean anything in reality. It looks cool, but it's not going to help you make money.

Make sure the subs are real, but more importantly make sure they're all active. Check the engagement of each video. Make sure it's all legit.

Also, did you say that the last video uploaded was 3 years ago? If that's the case then I wouldn't buy it because all of the subscribers would be super inactive to any new content published.

So basically if the channel's legit and it has recent subscriber engagement then I would buy it. BUT even if the subs are legit, if the last video published was 3 years ago you'd be better off just creating a new channel imo.

Best of luck to you!

It seems you have no clue. The subscribers could be all real but since they subscribed years ago how many do you expect to be still active ?

6 Million views over the course of 4 years. They are gone, useless, nothing you can do with them now so they mean absolutely nothing and do not add any value to the channel.
4,000 subscribers on an un-active channel, you can bet the majority of them are inactive accounts. Again useless.

Only clueless on people on this thread seem to be you and OP who think the channel is worth something.

I have had my say, i don't see any point in arguing.

If subscribers are still active it could be worth it depending on price
