Your settings for WordPress security?

Even with the best security and settings, most hacks happen because of exploits in random plugins. So keeping plugin use to a minimum when possible is my motto. (And subscribe to all those disclosure emails from places like wordfence)

I don't use Wordfence / Sucuri because they're too complicated for me, but these 2 are pretty popular... Also Cloudflare...

And also I have bookmarked this thing for some reason (I remember a few months ago a forum member has had bad hacking issue with his Wordpress site and someone had recommended this thing which apparently does wonders for the security of your site):
https://perishablepress.com/8g-firewall/
But I have no clue how to use it since I suck at technology, but save it, just in case :)
