This has been a 3rd already when Yoast steals someone's content and says he wrote an ultimate guide lol.

He has been also caught by just rewriting another content. He does not even know how to make original and unique content and you trust him with an SEO plugin?

Lol, webmasters these days.. I am sure there must be a plugin for doing potty too :D
 
So there is a more in-depth story in this.

The site I stated as original is not an original, it was copied from Yoast when Yoast copied the content.

The original is from a woman called Annie Cushing who spent ~3 years researching UTM tags and made a lot of excellent guides and Yoast changed a few words and published as original ultimate guide. She blasted him with lawsuits and DMCA and is waiting for lawyers to do their job. Yoast has been stealing her and other content for years.

same as Steal Patel (who is doing the same. Check his guides and you will see how similar they are. He does not make original content, he just takes 10 sites and merges the content together and rewrites it. He does not have his own opinion.

Choose who you trust on the internet or trust no one at all.
 
What is wrong with getting information from multiple sources and then rewriting it in your own words?

When you identify as SEO Expert, attend conferences you need to have your own opinion and your own research. If not you are just a random blogger. Same as million others.

Also, when you have a lot of influence you can't just mess around with words. You are playing in billion dollar market it's not just how to buy milk.
 
Some people dislike Yoast a little too much. I wonder what happened to these people to be so butt hurt by a plugin that is optional to use for free.

I couldn't care less about a plugin that I don't use. I can't imagine jumping into discussions about a plugin I don't use/found not useful..

Such a strange thing..
 
To be honest, i take my content from multiple sites and re write it better and longer.

Makes sense.

Nothing wrong when you're just a simple webmaster trying to save on cash and time, but if you claim to be the shit (*coughs* Neil *coughs*) or operate a big company (*coughs* Yoast *coughs*), then we may have a small issue.

People love attacking the big man for doing things they do themselves.

For some people it's hard to apply the same standard for one self, that they expect of others. "Yeah but they are making loads of money, I'm earning much less. So it's ok for me but not for them to do this".

So what is your suggestions for relatively new people, who cannot yet discern no difference between original, great content and copy-paste guru talk?

I.e. Patel is seen as the SEO expert in the industry, yet more and more I come across people saying he's kind of a fake?

My suggestions are always to have your own life experience. Check things out, read former Google people blogs. You need to filter out the information. Of course for newbies Steal Patel and Toast is not bad, the content is not wrong in any case, but you should not base your knowledge on information from them.
