XXX Btc lost. How Can I found it?

hi there,
My friend lost XXX bitcoin. He bougth XXX btc in 2011. He moved to a desktop program and forget it. We know just email address and reachable to account. We don't know which wallet are in? And account password.
How Can we found to btc's?

If you have access the email address, Then check your all 2011 email, You may find something there.
 
If desktop wallet is gone, it is all gone.
 
Sorry, you have lost your funds. You will not be able to restore them
 
Maybe you guys should build a timemachine and just travel back to good old 2011.
 
You can check your email related to that and may find some old maila lying there.
 
It is gone now. It is not that easy to recover funds.
