Wordpress vs Joomla

I worked with joomla from some years and start wordpress few months ago.
Joomla is much better to develop than wordpress and the customization like modules in any page and position is very good. The biggest problem of this CMS, in my opinion, is the update, so the security. Yesterday I was trying to update joomla 2.5 to 3.4, following the oficial tutorial it said "cross the finger", so they don't even know if it will work? Of course that was a complete failure and the website had to stay in this old version. Even trying in another website updating 2.5.10 to 2.5.28 was enough to get all the website bugged and of course the security was really bad.

I tried wordpress and all my problems were solved. The plugins are much better than joomla. At the moment I guess Admin tool from akeeba backup is the best security for joomla, but next to plugin like wordfence and other from wordpress, admin tool is really small.
There is even a plugin to auto update wordpress, plugin and theme. The community is bigger and that make the big difference. About the customization well there are some plugins like visual composer or child-theme to help.

I was a latecomer to Wordpress, having previously worked with Drupal and Joomla. Wordpress is much easier, more intuitive, and less problematic to use. Though my experience with Joomla isn't extensive, I wouldn't recommend it. You will be wasting time trying to figure things out that are far more intuitive in Wordpress. Updates are also more likely to be problematic. As others have mentioned, Wordpress has more support available, and more themes and plugins.

Recently I tried to create a new site in Joomla as an experiment after not touching it for a while, and every step took longer than it should have. Discovering the extensions I needed had many bugs sent me back to Wordpress in the end.

It's endless dispute. It's all a matter of taste and skills. But most people chose wordpress.
And if you need something really good, special and unhackable then you don't need to take anything from then like Nexuz1990 said.

In my own opinion, But I prefer WordPress for WordPress is so easily extended to do nearly anything you want much easier than Joomla. I've been using WordPress and it's EXTREMELY powerful in the right hands. What do you think?

I prefer WP too. Joomla is hightweight and not so easy to edit and optimize the code.

Wordpress is trully the best cms. Easy SEO optimization as compared to others plateforms

Wordpress has ease of use.
Drupal is more codecentric and has that customizability.
Joomla has both but meets both in the middle.

I'm currently using Joomla but thinking of going back to Wordpress for the ease of use.
Joomla though is very good for customizability and tweakability than Wordpress.

Wordpress brother. Even vulnerable as it is, it has a lot of facilities which make it the best Blog Platform. (Is also very popular and easy to use...)

It really depends on what you want out of your business. For rapid prototyping I would use Wordpress. But either platform has a ton of vulnerabilities in them, depending on how in depth one looks.
