Wordpress vs Joomla

I'm pretty much familier with wordpress, it work's well to small & medium size business website and blog's, whereas Joomla require's a level of some technical coding skill's and it is much better for E-commerce type of site.

I think based on the fact there are so many themes and plugins for wordpress, it would be a good choice.

both are good at their place but wordpress is most used platform for building websites. Alos it is easy to learn wordpress then joomla

WordPress is very lightweight and easy.
I rarely use jomla. Because it does not understand how to optimize the site jomla

I'd go with Wordpress over Joomla. Joomla is great if you have the technical skills for it. Wordpress is better if you want something a bit more simple, yet really effective. But both are pretty awesome!

Wordpress if you are beginner if you are advanced member you can go with modern joomla

Its all up to your knowledge of web design

Beginner - Blogger
Advanced - WP
Pro - Joomla

Honestly WordPress is a really good option... Last market share I saw WordPress was 54% of the websites of the internet.

Other options would be:
- Joomla( as mentioned above) - It's okay, it definitely requires more skill than wordpress and there are less theme options.
- Drupal - Similar to Joomla, where it's more advanced, but it's not really as much e-commerce focused as Joomla is.

The nice thing about WordPress and Joomla is most webhosts will have autoinstallers for them.

So when you're installing WordPress on 15 domains it's definitely a time saver.

I would go with WordPress myself.

I agree with Davidnrogb and climertech. They all are grate platforms, just go with the one your most familiar with.

For something simple and effective - use Wordpress.

Joomla is a robust system, that offers some features you'll probably never use.
Also, I believe WP has a stronger community and more resources available.

I use wordpress for my sites is simpler and have a lot of plugins and themes you can choose, at the begining I use joomla and didn't like it because it was not so friendly and the security problem is a nightmare if you're a newbie like me.

Why not look at Drupal or b2evo ? Both are great alternatives.

Joomla sucks. Every little aspect of a webpage -- every spot words can be -- is controlled by some deep link in their backend and all you will spend doing 90% of your development time is figuring out what deep, impossible-to-find page in their interface you need to go to in order to edit some little chunk of text that is on the main site. That's what it is like to edit other people's work on Joomla.

There are more wordpress developers than joomla developers, so if you ever need professional help, the lack of joomla developers will make them more expensive.

That's my impression, Wordpress is better.

Another thumbs up for Wordpress here. It's a great platform if I must say so myself, and it's compatible with so many plugins, you can do almost anything with Wordpress.

Wordpress is very popular, and for a lot of reasons. Mainly nice and simple, just the way I like it.

Wordpress. Easier to use, and offers (almost) same functionality.

Wordpress has evolved from the beginning. And as many have stated, the wordpress community is rising every day, programmers are losing interest in joomla.
