Hi guys, looking for some advice on permalinks.

I'm creating a new image gallery site where the user will be able to download image packs, will be 140+ posts. These image packs all have and same name i.e

    graphics pack 1
    graphics pack 2
    graphics pack 3

I'm a little worried about the dupe urls i.e
    h ttp://w w w.site.com/graphics-pack-1
    h ttp://w w w.site.com/graphics-pack-2
    h ttp://w w w.site.com/graphics-pack-3

Is there some permalinks structure that will help make these urls a little more unique? Don't really want to have dates in there.

Do you think this structure would be unique enough?
    /%post_id%/%postname%/

What are you Worried About? Search Engines?

That Wont Be a Problem At All!!

%postname% Will be the most SE Friendly Syntax!!

You should continue with that !!

%postid%/%postname% Will make the URLs a Bit more wider each other! In the sense, there is a Change in the post ID so, URLS Look different!

If you are not posting automatically I would suggest to give them real names:
    Graphics-pack-nature
    Graphics-pack-children

If he Set the Title Hence, Wordpress Automatically Amends the URL so!

    Thanks guys,

I can't really change the names of each post like:
    they would have to be
    Graphics-pack-1
    Graphics-pack-2
    Graphics-pack-3

So i thought adding the post ID would help a little to mix things up a bit. And yes it's for SEO

Sorry, But adding Post ID Does nothing better for SEO!! Having Name Alone would do it!!

But, As You said, I think You already have 140+ articles published and you want to play with the URL now!

Why not just insert Postdate and month? So Your URL doesnt look So Bad like having a random 4 or 5 digit number!

Nothing published yet, that's why I'm asking now.

So having 140+ post urls all with same name apart from pack number wouldn't be a problem.

Just worried that my site may be seen as keyword stuffing or i'm i barking up the wrong tree?

yup, /%post_id%/%postname%/ can solve it. I use it for all my blog too. :)
