Thanks for the guide, looking forward to v2.
and whats your issue?Hello all.
I tried to apply the guide but got blocked at step 3 and 4... It looks like siteground shared hosting doesn't allow me to do what is suggested.
Anybody managed to follow the entire guide with success and is using sideground shared hosting?
Thanks
and whats your issue?
Contact their support and tell them you want your sub domain pointed to your wordprsss content. But this should be doable with no issue what so ever whole creating a subdomainMy it guy and I didn't manage to change the document root via Cpanel as siteground doesn't let us access to cpanel anymore. Change of their interface in April 2020.
We tried to do this in the .htaccess file in my static.domain.com/public_html/.htaccess like this:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com$ [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domaain.com$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/public_html/wp-content/
RewriteRule ^wp-content/(.*) https://static.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]
If anybody want to assist me doing the whole process while sharing screen, would be very appreciated.
