Hello all.
I tried to apply the guide but got blocked at step 3 and 4... It looks like siteground shared hosting doesn't allow me to do what is suggested.
Anybody managed to follow the entire guide with success and is using sideground shared hosting?

Thanks

and whats your issue?

and whats your issue?

My it guy and I didn't manage to change the document root via Cpanel as siteground doesn't let us access to cpanel anymore. Change of their interface in April 2020.

We tried to do this in the .htaccess file in my static.domain.com/public_html/.htaccess like this:
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^domain.com$ [NC,OR]
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.domaain.com$
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/public_html/wp-content/
RewriteRule ^wp-content/(.*) https://static.domain.com/$1 [R=301,L]

If anybody want to assist me doing the whole process while sharing screen, would be very appreciated.

Contact their support and tell them you want your sub domain pointed to your wordprsss content. But this should be doable with no issue what so ever whole creating a subdomain

Thanks for your tips. Will have to try WP ROCKET plugin. Hopefully, it is compatible with the Avada theme. if it's compatible there might be chance of it breaking the site after too much optimization. anyone ever tried it and have any suggestions?

Did it -->

Vladimir I.: Configuring a cookie free domain is not an easy task and and it's related to the development side of the site.
Vladimir I.: As much as I would love to, this is a development related request and it's out of our scope of support. Still, we do try to help our clients in any possible way and that is why we have partnered with one of the best WordPress developers - Codeable. If you need someone to do it for you, you can reach them via my.siteground.com/codeable

As far as I know, if your site is running a CDN you don´t need to set up a cookie-free domain to serve static content.

Maybe these guys can verify/confirm this for us @Veil123 @kindablack @Festinger

Take a look at this video by Scott from SERT MEDIA...

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I use the Speed Booster Pack plugin instead of the WProcket on my site to optimize the speed.

Anyone experience on Speed Booster pack plugin please share your thoughts here.

Thanks for the support. I would look for this kind of help.

Heads up, speed ur wordpress up! :3
