Wordpress Help Needed!

did you check if the upload directory has proper write permissions to store the image ?
can you upload other files or is it only that image causing problems ?

Yes, it does have proper permissions. And no, I can't upload fucking anything lol.

That's the crazy part -- I tried to upload something else and it worked, but wtf can it be with the image? I compressed it and everything. At least now I know it has to be the image somehow, right? Lol.

When I was stuck in an error like that, this is what I might do:
1. Back up wp database dan media files via cpanel
2. Delete wordpress installation
3. Re-install wordpress
4. Restore database and reupload the media files to its folder.

I honestly might try this if all else fails lol. Now I know it's likely somehow the image itself though. :/

I mean yeah, I pretty much just build websites and sell them or build and go other than for my own websites. And I've never experienced this issue ever. I don't know about the http status codes other than that I just keep getting literally 'http error' when I try to upload an image. And RTFM? I've read it and have searched Wordpress Support forums, asked them, asked iPage.. nothing.

Solution 1 and 2 didn't work. I even have the fuckers at iPage stumped. They were trying shit for like 2 hours. As for Solution 3, I have the error log but can't convert it to txt file for some reason :/ seriously having the worst luck with this and it's so annoying.

I understand, sometimes small problems stuck and irritate a lot.
Check the image format or try to load the different format of an image(png, jpeg), once I was facing the same issue due to 'png' image format.

But it's the image and not Wordpress though, should I still do this? Btw, iPage has now handed me off 3 times to 'Senior' mofos who then can't solve this. Three times they were like "yeah I think we got it" and they fucking didn't.

The image is in jpeg and unfortunately I think the issue IS the image but I don't know what to do? It's been compressed, it's proper size.. this is just the most ridiculous and annoying thing ever. :/

there are multiple solutions with image upload errors.
also did you try different browsers?

Yeah, I've tried multiple solutions so far lol. Like almost 10 I think haha. I even told the dude at iPage that I'd pay him via PayPal to fix it and those fuckers can't.

And yep sure did. Trust me, I've tried a lot man. Absolutely stumped, as is a bunch of people it seems.

could you copy paste what the error log shows when you try to upload that image ?

Are you using any Cache plugin , if yes deactivate that plugin refresh and try to upload again.

First of all, if you are asking for help, provided you have given very vague details, please try things that people say instead of repeating you are absolutely stumped.

Show us all a screenshot of the error.
Copy paste the error_log here. You dont have to convert the error_log file to open it. You can just open it with notepad as is.

http error can be anything. 500,403 and the list goes on. And even 500 can be due to many reasons. So, please try to be precise, or please try to provide more valid data as you try different things instead of just saying that didnt work, this didnt work etc.

Cheers!

Haha I got it guys. The image/file was corrupt and just fucked up. Dude is creating a new file and new image.

Thanks to everyone who responded and replied regardless, much appreciated!
