Windows 11 might fail to start after installing KB5058405..
Has anyone experienced issues with Windows 11 failing to start after installing the KB5058405 update? Are there any updates or workarounds available to address this problem?

another reminder to not update the windows. I always keep all updates turned off unless i really want them.

wrong! Another reason NOT to use windows anymore, and switch to Linux.... until a truly safe and 100% free OS comes along...
 
Funny enough, I just rolled my PC back to 10. Tried, hated it. Not doing it.
 
Microsoft fuckers are withdrawing support for windows 10 this year. Windows 11 will be shoved down our throats.
 
They have these problems periodically, as written in the news, so I always take a break after the release of a new update before updating.

Yeah, some folks are saying KB5058405 is messing things up. If your Windows won’t boot, try rolling back the update in safe mode or using system restore. Microsoft might drop a fix soon, but for now, best to pause updates if you haven’t installed it yet.
 
This page talks about the error KB5058405. It's a pretty new update from what I can see.

That's a smart move. Rushing into updates can sometimes cause more harm than good, especially if bugs haven’t been ironed out yet. Waiting a bit lets you see how stable it really is.
 
I always make a backup with Acronis before updating. I also delay updates as long as possible.

Thanks for the insight. I’m using Windows 11 Pro—I'll try reverting to the previous version. Have you seen any official word from Microsoft about a fix or should I just pause updates for now?
