Wordpress is still a very high authority site. Switching from blogger to Wordpress is not going to have any significant effect on your traffic.
Only downside might be that if you have links pointing to the Blogger blog, you'll lose some of the link juice when redirecting it to your Wordpress blog.

No point in switching if you are already doing well on blogger, though if you are considering to self host your domain, then it would be a different picture we would be looking at altogether.

By using any CMS or Custom Made pages you don't need to worry about page rank.

I wouldn't switch to another platform if it isn't necassary. You will loose some trust because of the age.
The only way that makes sense to me is to switch to an own domain. Then changing the CMS/hosting is a bit less bad but there should be always a (very) good reason for switching.
