What part of "they can do what they want" as they own the copyright didn't you understand in my posts? If you want I can point you to some Federal Laws for copyright usage and Trademarks/Names if you need me to. If you had really consulted a lawyer he would have advised against it. Seriously you need to read the copyright laws.

Last year I had some problems with one of my websites (the funniest thing is that the website existed for more than 3 years before this). Thanks God 301 redirect exists :) it helped to save all the backlinks. now my website is in top 5 in Google
 
I would try it. Mainly, if you are from a third world country, you have little to loose and very much to gain.

There was a man from texas who saw a domain on a poster displayed in FPS shooter game.
He registered the domain (as game developers didn't bother to check whether it's taken), created a site, filled it with porn and called the devs to buy it back.
They did after children's mums complained about the content.

Just do it.
 
No dont buy,instead choose different one and make it one good brand.
 
I wouldnt test my chances if i were you.

Doesnt seem like a smart idea to roll the dice with a branded domain.

keep looking for other domains, you'll find other hidden gems.
 
Its always a great risk in using domains like this, I wouldn't waste my time on it.
