Will google ads affect SEO ? Let me share my experience

I have an automotive site which consists of a good page structure with each make category page and products

The pages were receving an average 30 visitors a day individually and 3 to 5 forms filled

However when my client requested to run google ads on same site making each ad group to theme related instead of single landing page

Now that , after setting up google conversion tracking code and setting up google ads account we noticed there is drop in taffic


Is it our misconception that google ads are affecting organic traffic or should we work on the seo ???
