Hi everyone.

If i am writing a post about let's say volvo trucks and i just download random image from google and use them in my article, will that affect my SEO? If it will, how can i avoid it?

Thank you.

It should be okay. But make sure you give credit/source. ex: Photo by Google or Photo by blablabla.... +always download getty images with watermark, if they catch you downloading getty images without watermark they could sue you, unless you buy an image from getty.

Why do you think it will affect your SEO?
Do you mean becaz u don't own the image (copyright issue?)

if so, I am quite sure it will not affect your SEO if u choose the right image related to ur niche.

However, it may cause problem when u put adsense ads on it caz you don't own the image. So put reference link.

No.

Obviously there might be a copyright issue that you should deal with appropriately to keep things legal. But as far as SEO goes, no. Just take a look at MOZ, SEJ, etc...they all use stock images in their blog posts that are re-used by lord knows how many 1000s of other sites on the web.

Regards,

If you're ever worried about images you download, check the licence for the image.

Another option is take your own photos.

Images won't have any effect on your seo though.
