Why people will buy from Shopify stores as Amazon is cheaper?

In most cases, I see that Amazon has a better price than Dropshipping Shopify stores, but some people do buy from them instead of Amazon, why?

Not everyone has time to compare prices. Some people just search > click > buy.

Also there are people who are starting to move away from Amazon, various reasons from tax avoidance, charging higher costs, prime not arriving in 1 day and so on.

2 totally different consumer behaviours:
- Amazon is ready to fulfill someones need to find or search for something
- With shopify you advertise, which means you generate that need in the client, when he/she wasnt actually looking for your product

Shopify hasn't really taken off in my country yet (I think they are finding their way in) but I pretty much buy something from Amazon every week. I just bought like dozens of Kleenex for the office right now. I wonder how Shopify would go up against Amazon in my country. It's a tough market to get into for foreigners.

Easy because Shopify it's not an Amazon competitor.

Two different markets.

Shopify usually = niched and impulse buys, usually after having clicked through from an ad
Amazon = organic and passive shopping
