Why no one talks about conversion issues in dropshipping anymore?

Okay, real talk.
Everyone’s obsessed with finding “winning products,” viral ads, and automating the hell outta everything. But what happens when you actually get traffic... and no one buys?
I’ve been running my store for a while – niche is fine, traffic’s coming in (mostly TikTok organic and some FB/IG stuff), but my conversion rate is straight-up garbage. Like 0.3%–0.6% on average. That’s with people adding to cart, too. It’s painful.
Here’s what I think is messing most of us up:
  • Stores look sketchy AF
  • CTAs are lazy or too generic
  • Product pages look like everyone else’s
  • Customers are tired of long shipping, crap service, and cloned websites
I recently switched my store over to Sellvia, mostly 'cause they offer faster US shipping and done-for-you product pages that don’t look like AliExpress garbage. That helped a bit with trust, for sure. Plus their built-in email and social kits save time.
But still conversions are tricky unless your whole funnel is tight.
So, BH fam:

What REALLY helped you fix your store’s conversion rate?
How do you build trust when your store is still new and unproven?
Anyone else using Sellvia and seen any solid boosts?
Let’s stop pretending a “winning product” is all you need. You can have traffic for days and still make zero if your setup sucks.
Curious what’s worked for you guys lately. Drop your tips

Yeah bro, you're spot on – traffic is one thing, conversions are a whole different beast. I was in the same boat a couple months back. Ads were getting clicks, people were adding to cart, but barely anyone was checking out. Super frustrating.
Honestly, switching to Sellvia helped clean a lot of that up for me. I didn’t even realize how sketchy my store looked until I got their pre-built product pages and started using their email system. Having fast US shipping helped too – people trust that more than waiting 30+ days from China.
Also, big thing for me was fixing the product descriptions. Like, I stopped copying and pasting generic crap. Now I try to write like I'm actually talking to the customer – real benefits, simple language, and one strong CTA. Sellvia actually gives some decent copy in their product kits, so that helped as a starting point.
If you’re getting ATCs but no purchases, double check your checkout process too. Make sure it doesn’t look sus or have weird extra steps. And test your mobile layout – 90% of my traffic is from phones.
Conversions started picking up once I tightened all that. Still tweaking stuff, but it’s miles better than before.
What platform are you using now? You thinking of switching to Sellvia or just sticking with your current setup?

The prompt needs to be polished.

I’m already with Sellvia as i mentioned, thx for tips.

Sellvia seems like the worst scam in our century.

People on reddit hate it but I've seen some posts here of people who actually use it... okk...

Bro, Ad traffic today are bots or people from Philippine hired on https://www.peopleperhour.com/ to click on your products , add to cart and not finalise the process.

Install Hotjar on your website, check how people are navigating it, why they stop, why they click what they click. Then adjust CRO.

The market is saturated and moving to “scale”

When dropshipping first exploded, everyone tried to improve every %, from optimizing the “Add to Cart” button to tweaking the layout. Now most have gone through the basic testing phase, focusing on increasing traffic (Facebook, TikTok Ads) and scaling the budget. Conversion rate—which is “good enough” for many shops—is considered “fixed” and rarely discussed

position yourself almost like the founder of the product. dont create those silly dropshippy videos. tons of tutorials on how to create a trustworthy branded dropshipping store. get reviews from aliexpress and amazon. test different offers and look for suppliers with quicker shipping times on facebook.
