Because Alexa is shit, that should have gone offline a long time ago.
It's a third party metric that's completely irrelevant to your primary goal, which is, I presume, rank in Google and make money. Those are the things you should be focused on, not some cute little number on a pretty much dead site.

SEO and Paid Traffic.
Also, if give away free version of templates, designs, themes, plugins whatever you are developing to get traffic.

It is totally depends on how popular your website and how much traffic hit your website. Do proper SEO, use Google Adwords, Facebook Marketing to increase valuable traffic of your website and your Alexa ranking will be improved if you will do it properly.

I would suggest for you to have a look on Yoast blog about SEO, especially if you are working with a WordPress site. You can learn a lot from there.

You can try adding their plugin onto your site and see if it helps. I'm pretty sure that there are some people who still value alexa rank, and it somehow provides an approximate traffic amount for a particular website, just like semrush - both are accurate to a certain degree.
Nevertheless, there is another way to show traffic on your site - you can try an alternative like semrush, or add G analytics tracking to the site, which should provide accurate information to your client as well - it has far more functionalities.

Sorry. I don't have the time to do that.
But SEO is not complicated. If you spend enough time reading, it is simple but not easy.
Start by reading the sticky threads on this forum.
Then go to backlinko and read more. Yoast seo blog is another good one.
Basically you produce lengrhy useful content. Do on page SEO and publish. Then promote the published content.
