Why is traffic still going to the https and http version of my site?

Can some explain why the HTTPS and HTTP version of my website keep getting different stats, even after redirecting to HTTPS?

HTTPS makes use of TLS (SSL) encryption for normal HTTP request and response and so HTTPS is more secure than HTTP.

I know this but I thought when you redirect to HTTPS, all traffic goes to it in search console. But I see traffic too on http version. Is it normal?

Do you still have any old backlinks linking to you with http? Are you handling the redirect with a 301 or a 302 response?
I just added SSL cert from my host. Then added both the HTTPS and HTTP versions on search console. Am I doing anything wrong?

If the site in question is the one you have linked in your profile, the redirect looks fine to me, a 301. I'm not sure why you would add both https and http versions into your search console though.

This has been the issue. Do you suggest I delete the http version? ?

I would remove it, it will probably only serve to give you worries that in essence you don't need to worry about ;)

In most cases the URLs used in Google Search Results come from their search index, and therefore will be based on the canonical entries they have. e.g. it will be the https version of your website redirects all http pages to the https.

So no need adding the two version in search console?
