I recently purchased a new commercial high level domain called TheChinaBusinessGuide and parked it on the primary domain YourGuideToChina.

Doing a Google search for this new name in double quotes only produces one backlink, though there should be hundreds.

Has this new site been blacklisted by Google?

    Thanks.

Google wouldn't show you the backlinks using what you said above.

It was suggested that I might be black listed because it is duplicate content of the old site. I'm trying to do a 301 redirect like suggested, though it isn't working because the website gets caught in an infinite loop since the old and new site are identical files. So it sees "301 redirect / to the new website" Well, the new website also is the same website so it has that .htaccess file so it also tries to redirect / to itself forever until my wireless connection catches on fire. :)

Even Yahoo is acting up nowadays, not showing the actual backlinks that you got

I think I figured out what was the issue. I didn't have a sitemap. I used the Attracta service which I have free from Bluehost and then the site showed up on Google right away.

    Thanks for the help.
