Why is link building so hard? What can I do about it?

I've been in the game of SEO for two years now and I've gone through the whole journey and every step from keyword research to on-page optimization to technical optimiztion, I've even studied copywriting and content marketing.

Yet the most difficult step I face is link building, it either requires a lot of outreach or it is a risky act when you are buying the links or building a PBN? so what are your thoughts about it, I want to do white hat outreach so how can it be easier or do I have to reach out to a 100 person to get 1 - 5 guest posts?

Yes, that's the sad truth. Depends upon your niche that number may vary little high.

Maintaining only few site but want get links with white hat methods, then without doubt you should spend valuable time or money$$$

@Geasy has shared some nice templates yiu could use for out reach or hire a VA and ask them to do it for you

As above said, you should invest and definitely it will take some time. Depends on your strategy, if you have reached certain trust you will get more opportunities. But the good part is, it will be for long term.
