Why is it a random Ssn, birthdate and zip code will verify a venmo account?

I made a new venmo and I typed in a random zip name and SSN and it is verified? That don't make much sense.

Bump????? Any know I find it bizarre they want you to verify your account yet you can put in random info to do so?

It will be interesting to see how long it lasts (hopefully indefinitely). You might also want to make a couple other ones and see if it works on those accounts as well. I don't have much experience with venmo but I am interested in how this works out for you.
