Hello guys,
I'm very confused about how to better leverage Pinterest to get traffic.
I got impressions up to 50k yet, there are little or no valid clicks to my website. Is it that my content or images are not enticing enough to lure users to click.

What can I do to harness my large following to getting a better click-through-rate?

A few months ago I was doing some research on the topic and here are my notes...
1. Have a Call To Action
2. Use Suspense
3. Give a Little but Not All of It
4. Show, Don’t Tell
5. Maximize Your Pinterest SEO
6. Use Hashtags
7. Get Others to Share Your Pins
8. Get Others to Share From Your Site
9. Be A Regular
10. Join More Group Boards or Tailwind Tribes
11. Create More Boards That Are Relevant to Your Brand

Many of these advises also applies to organic search CTR so, they shouldn´t be a surprised.

You have to first understand how pinterest work. If you view the platform from the POV of a user and not a marketer you'll understand.
The impression you're saying there indicates how many times your pins appear on people's homepage and/or search result.
It doesn't mean only your pins appear there but there are lots of pins from others, maybe 100s or thousands of pins(since pinterest uses infinite scroll) at each view of the homepage.

Each time your pin is among these dozens of pins is counted as an impression, it's not a very accurate metric to use in calculating CTR in my opinion.

If you want to compare the CTR of your pins, I'd suggest you use the close up views vs the clicks.

The close up view are the times your pins alone are actually viewed by a pinterest user, this time you have the attention of the user all to yourself unlike the times where there 100s or thounsands of your fighting for this attention.
