Dogs are unconditional love. They don't care how much money you make, how good looking you are, how popular you are, or anything else that we judge other people by. They will always love you no matter what and thats awesome.

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Regular separation from you will be painful and can even cause depression. Think before you buy me.

2. Give me time to understand what you want from me don't be impatient, short-tempered or irritable.

9. Take care of me when I get old. You too will grow old and will also want care, love, and affection.

10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, irrespective of what you do I will always love you.

10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch" or "Let it happen in my absence". Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, irrespective of what you do I will always love you.

I just went through that with our little Yorkie of 14 years that recently passed. It would have been so easy to just hand her off and let the vet do it but I wouldn't let her pass in the hands of a stranger no matter how difficult it was for me. I was gonna be there until the end and now happy I was.

I hope that I didn't make your emotions raw again by posting No.10 ?

Almost can feel your pain from the way that you have posted about your little Yorkie in other threads too,
you seemed to be attached or inextricably linked, for sure.

Glad you were there for her at the end though.

I dread that day when I have to tell my daughters that their dog has died. Ouch.
