If you are adding it directly in your post via the php then you need to do it in a child theme, or every new update it will be lost and you'll have to do it again.

Login into your wordpress admin panel (example.com/wp-admin) go to Plugins > Add New then at the top right corner you will see a search box click there and write "Ad Injection" find the plugin where it says just "Ad Injection", click "Install Now" wait few seconds and than click "Activate". DONE!
