Hey BHW,

I was struggling these days to find a good username that is related to my niche/interest. But I wanted to know which is the better choice as I have two possibilites.

Here is an example.
A: @blackhatworld
B: @black_hat_world

Would you go with a or be?

Thanks

I think A too. If you think it will be too long all together then split it. Or try using a different, more catchy name. You could post the username you're thinking of and we could think of alternatives?

But I'm not sure about it cause the username that I will use is long. And maybe new people cannot read it if I didn't split it using " _ ". What do you think?
"_" makes it even longer. And is it necessary to make the username that long? Does it contain keywords or what is the reason behind the name?

A. Make youre you choose an easy-to-remember name. You don't want to insert a whole phrase into the username :p

The first option is easy and simple.

I would always take the first option (A)

There is psychological meaning behind it.

If you are going to choose number 2 (B) then people are going to be less likely following you.

Why? Because they'll think it is an another spam, copy, bot account (the same applies for numbers in name).

That is why i always avoid B options, and take more thinking time and come up with better name.

A. It looks much cleaner and professional.

Go with A. If it's too long, you can always capitalize the first letter of the words (e.g. BlackHatWorld) for easier reading, but a userrname shouldn't be too long to begin with.
B is not good for more than one reason: it doesn't look good, it's longer and on some platforms, it's not even clear whether there's an underscore or an empty space between the words.
