Which rank higher in search engine Blog or forum?

Hypothetically if i create a same post and publish it on my blog and on my forum thread as a admin or fake user.
So the same post will rank higher in blog or forum?

Note-
No i don't have a forum just a blog. But planning to creating one.

Depends, for example if your blog has more direct backlinks to it a blog post will be better for ranking.

It's based on your scope and interest among visitors. Both of them are same. Blog is easier to maintain than forum that's all.
