I want to start blogging but as a newbie I am struggling with finding a niche. However, I just listened to the radio when they talked about a topic which interests me a lot and then I thought why shouldnt I blog about this?
So I turned my pc on and went to epireddomains.com which somebody mentioned in BigRons thread. There are a lot of good expired domains but I dont know how to interprete and value the additional information in the columns. E.g. which one is better BL: (Majestic External Backlinks, Click on the Number for Related Links) or DP ( SEOkicks Domain Pop - Number of Backlinks from different Domains)?
And should I buy a domain just because it has a lot of backlinks but the name is not perfect?

Depends on what you are trying to achieve - if it's something brandable, then a short domain name would do well in that aspect. Else, if you are going for metrics, I'd personally choose something with TF>20, DA/PA>40. The higher the TF, the most likely the site contains some HQ link from a very HQ site, and not spammy links.

The things you to need to know before buying expired domains :

Rank - different indicators and establishes a custom ranking for each domain
Age - The age of a domain name is a determining parameter for search engines
Domain Length - the length of a domain name is an important factor to take into account

Referring domains, Backlinks, Majestic trust flow, Majestic citation flow, Google page rank, Webarchive history and availability.
