Do not even think about go daddy, it is the worst. As far as hostwind is concern I am not sure how good they are but I have seen WordPress is recommending them.
Personally I prefer Hostgator as I am using for all my blog websites...they are best.

If your after shared hosting check out HawkHost - They kick ass

VPS and Dedi's. If you want a hassle free service on great servers, with people that actually know how to run a hosting business. You really can't go past WiredTree

I would recommend Host The Name due to their "unlimited" cheap features. So far, so good I had no problems with my Wordpress blogs hosted there. This web hosting company is really perfect for those who had limited budget but with plans to add unlimited websites in one hosting program. My experience with them is totally great, customer support is also very friendly and action takers.
