If you are getting "too much traffic" you should be making some decent money and can afford to upgrade your plan.

How can you get to much traffic with an unlimited hosting plan? Why should you have to upgrade your hosting plan when you purchased the unlimited plan? What are you going to upgrade to, the "ultra unlimited hosting" plan? The exact reasons I stopped buying and/or promoting unlimited hosting companies.
 
What about hostgator virtual dedicated.... anyone have any input on that...

I have godaddy... shared... about to move up to the next step... virtual dedicated.

are they picky about traffic on virtual dedicated....?
 
I went with HostGator with the "baby plan" which gives me unlimited domain, disk space, bandwith and shared ssl certificate. Very pleased for far, didn't have any problems or any unstable hosting.
 
Host Gator, they've always been good to me. Pretty good for the price too.
 
i've always used dreamhost and have not had any issues with them. Like anything, someone people will love them and some will hate them.
 
hostgator is one of the worst companies if you run wordpress sites with lots of plug-ins. They will shut down your sites i no time
 
you guys that said GoDaddy. Are you f-ing serious? Jeese. please tell me you're kidding. More like NoDaddy if you ask me. google that and see what you get. wtf?
 
Go cloud. It will pay off. there are many cloud provders out there. Just google it ;-)
 
Someone needs to explain how your site is shutdown for too much traffic if its unlimited how the hell is it legal
 
Yes you can transfer your wp blog to domain and you can either host in hostgator or stablehost.But please stay away from just host to my point of view.

I like justhost. $2.50/month and you get a free domain if you pay for a year.

For newbies I think hostgator is the best hosting company out there, been with them just under a year and not had any issues. But my sites are growing and I want to make sure I have a host that can handle the traffic that comes with the growth.
 
There is plenty of hosting companies out there,
BlueHost is recommended for WordPress, as well as DreamHost

Nothing is better than Hostgator for bloging website , Prices are quite competitive and the customer support is really good. I am using their services for my websites and have no issue so far.
