Hi,

According to your experience, which has better conversion rates? Free or Paid traffic?

Your question is hard to answer. This depends on the source of traffic. CR of the free traffic can be better than the paid traffic. And also the paid traffic can be better.

Yeah it's a hard one. I run over twenty websites that have organic and paid traffic and it all depends on our target audience.

Everyone has their own opinion.
What I'm trying to say is some people hate ads, where others trust them over organic.
Some people think organic is just a hit and miss, others think if they're at the top they must be good.

See what I mean? If you ask a "professional" that crunches numbers all day, you might get a figure of 60% prefer ads.

Free or paid says nothing about the actual quality of traffic. You can get awesome paid traffic from one source and shitty free traffic from Google, or vice-versa. The main idea isn't to get the traffic "free" or paid. It's whether the traffic is targeted to your niche and looking to BUY.

On the note of paid traffic, you can get your ass handed to you even if the traffic converts very well. It's all about how much you'll need to spend to make a sale. It's not always easy and the competition is fierce. If you're only an affiliate you need to take into account the fact that you're only getting a percentage of the profit from the sale. Which is why the product/service owners themselves will turn a bigger profit from the same sale and are likely to afford to outbid you for the same traffic, as they don't have to pay you a cut.

Paid traffic directly to sales page usually has much worse conversion rate than you expect..IME

You can always test your traffic from your landing page. Split test your landing page and you can see the conversions. This is the best way to see which traffic is better :) Hope i answered your question!

Yep, I agree. Splitting landingpage it is the best way to test it out.

As per my experience - Conversion rate is dependent on your landing page, No matter whether you are getting traffic from paid or organic. Make your website or page easier to use as much as possible. Please note that anything from 1% to 99% potential sales could be lost just because of poor usability. :)
Hope that helps!

Targeted paid traffic to be more precise! That's your best option. You can buy that kind of traffic here on BHW but I am using a provider on SEOclerks which delivers quality traffic for a good price.

Organic traffic can offer you a reliable long term benefit with regards to conversions. Paid traffic may also not all be the same, if you are talking about adwords and the like, then it would usually depend upon your niche.

The better converting traffic is always the more targeted traffic whether that be paid or free.
