I'd still suggest keeping your money in your pocket...you may feel the urge to jump, however you barely know where or what you may be leaping into. Coming on here for suggestions is about one of the worst things you can do, lol. I have no method or tutorial to offer you fortunately. However the sage advice to hold on tight to your money will serve you well now, and into the future.
Unless you are pretty damned sure that more of those $1,000 dollar bills coming in to re-invest or recoup your loss on a failed attempt...then spending your "bank" of just $1,000 will let you down until you've already identified a method, tested it, made money from it reliably for a period of time (1 month, 2 months, etc.) Then, and only then would I would start to use that "bank" and get 1 outsourcer to duplicate it. On top of that, you keep doing your work to make that cash so you have double the return. Then scale it up to 2 outsourcers after your first month. Making money still? Re-evaluate, readjust your course to either continue to scale or shed your losses.
A lot of people on here make it sound easy, "Oh yeah, just go buy your domain, content, backlinks, rank in SE's, get checks." Yes, that's just a PROCESS, not an actual business. Start where you want to end. If you want to make money short term then focus on your process. But if you want to make money long term, big time, then focus on an actual business that involves successful processes.
I learned the hard way and spent 1 year in exodus from internet marketing, sort of, lol. But in that time I've had the re-set point of mind and method, learned new skills in direct response, found a new passion to pursue online only to find I was chasing the "market" and trying to apply "methods" I found here on BHW. What I do now is totally backwards from what I did 2 years ago, but the base/foundation is so much stronger but required lots and lots of thinking - I know...we all hate doing that. But it will save you much frustration my friend.
Good luck. Keep your money, find your business pursuit, then focus on your processes. And no, "throwing up" dozens of sites as an affiliate I'd say is not a business, but a process. Buying space (PPC) is not really a business either unless you're running it to your own product with an outstanding offer.
