Serious question, I don't think a company like Google with its social network will be able to bring it down because it's too similar and defeats the purpose. So when? Give me a time period? 3 years?

When something different and unique comes ...Google 1+ won't be able, I'm pretty sure..

When web 3.0 or 4.0 come out

As soon as the majority will feel like FB doesn't get the job done properly anymore. That's also why, as it stands, G+ doesn't have a chance. As most of their zillion beta products it spiked due to their online power then settled right after a few zealots and early adopters went: "look, ma retarded buds r not here, lets go back to fb".... Not that easy to move 600M ppl that can't find a clear issue with where they are, namely FB...

I read a very good analogy somewhere with Bing: it's not that it's a bad SE, it's just that ppl don't see any clear or abysmal lack on Google that would make them consider to switch...

And as we all saw privacy concerns are not that relevant to average joe on the interwebz so, if I were ZuckerSuck I wouldn't fret any time soon.

i think the time comes...

because someone hacks FB and post some nude pics on the walls..

god bless mark..

In 3 years 8 months 22 days 14 hours 49 minutes and 34 seconds.................

Seriously dude how can anyone know? We have no idea of what somebody is going to come up with to get people to move......

This explanation is about as good as you are going to get.

All social networks die.
Twitter used to be HUGE, myspace used to be HUGE, now both are virtually dead.

You used to see "Follow us on twitter!" now you hardly see that.

Myyearbook used to be HUGE, now it's virtually dead.

Facebook will die, or if google takes on their request for indexing user's statuses, facebook may overtake google. Who knows.

Who knows? But I can't wait to jump ship and abuse the hell out of what evers next!

To be honest I don't think Facebook will ever die, you have compared it to other social networking websites but Facebook is in a class of its own. People are nosey especially females and they love checking on other girls Facebook seeing who looks better etc, men love it because they can checkout women. They have all the correct features

I can tell you that it did not die on November 5th.

I don't think it'll be for a long... LONG time... You're talking about a complete paradigm shift infecting over half a billion users. FB will only die when somethign SO MUCH BETTER comes along, that people have no choice but to see its flaws for what they are... :3

well On December 2012 world is going to end. So We can say on December 2012 Facebook will die.

Just Wait and Watch.

You can predict the end quite accurately, take services like livejournal, ICQ, etc.
See how their traffic looked like over the years. Now take facebook and see how its traffic looks like over the years. Compare the two, you will get the idea where is FB atm and how long is left.
