When was the first time you heard about Bitcoin?

Me 2010. Got 1 user on my local forum that keep mentioned about bitcoin, by saying this blockchain technology gonna replace the fiat.

It use peer2peer network and people use it to trade goods/service like drug, and weapon, via TOR network.

So I was like wth this thing is, I goto their website and try to learn about it, I even download the so called wallet. It make me confuse. I just give up and ignore it.

I start to look into it again in 2012 because the price suddenly increase, I still remmber at that time the price is $5.00.. and I kept watching the price slowly increase from 5...15...50

I wish I have a time machine. : /

When Bitcoin7 was popular. I remember accumulating 21+ coins strictly through their referral program before the exchange got hacked. I was quickly discouraged after that, unfortunately. Sigh, only if I held on to the concept, I'd probably be worth a billion dollars.

That's life.
 
Around $2-$3 if I remember correctly.

Mined them for a full week a long time ago (I'm really curious to know how many BTC a good PC mining for a full week back in '12 or '13 would generate) but acess to that harddrive is long gone
 
In 2014. Bitcoin mining videos started popping up on youtube, tried mining but then read it could damage the PC in long run so stopped after a while. Was broke to buy any bitcoins back then, and now I can't afford them at the current price. Still got 0.001Bitcoin, gonna HODL onto them xD.
 
I learned @700, my friend said it can't go any higher when I said we should get it. Our friendship is almost over now.
 
2010 and the price way way below 1$ ....... wish for a time machine as well.

Story of my life. I thought you could only mine it and tried to set up some miner back then. Couldn't get it done and quit.... Imagine if I continued and started mining some for fun.
 
Last week, and now I'm a pro crypto trader.

Think it was about $300 when I kept coming across it. Never had any particular interest in it though. I just don't fall for the hype, I think it's days are numbered.
 
I was playing a lot of online poker back in 2010-2011. There was some talk about Bitcoin in some of the larger online poker communities at that time, with some players investing some chunk of their bankrolls into BTC, but it sounded a bit like science-fiction to me then. Started following it more closely when it went on a tear in 2013 and hit $1k. Saw it come crashing down after the Mt. Gox fiasco. Pulled the trigger shortly after.
 
Back to 2012, My manager at work told me about that , it was 60$ that time, we wanted to buy 1 for each, some how I didnt want this "BS",
It raised to 200$ after few months of ups & downs and I just lost 30K with what was new then - Binary options.., So I give up and didnt want to "bet" more,
Total, I have missed the good timeframe, now Im collecting the pennies haha
 
Probably about 2011 or 2012 I think. I just heard about everyone mining for it with graphics cards etc. So I bought a jaelepino miner and had a go myself.
