When was the first time you heard about Bitcoin?

Can't remember but got my first 47 bitcoins where the prices was 10$ Still holding 29 BTC
Also bought some ETH when was 30$ and zCash when was 80$

Probably around 2012'ish when my friend told me lets go and buy some.
I hate him for not making me buy it - looking at the price now hahahah
 
Hindsight is real. I saw when BTC was cheap, but I didn't care enough to learn anything about it. In all honesty, I thought it may have just been some online game currency, but again, I didn't really give it much thought. Now I'm kicking myself.
 
Heard about it in 2010,was broke as hell so I couldn't buy it.

I learnt about it when it was sitting at $13. Was broke as fuck or would have bought some.

Told a frnd about it, he bought at $15ish and sold at 200ish later on.
 
I've heard about it few years ago, but then i thought that it's only dark web thing.. Got into it just last year.. The worst part that i didn't knew about them so much and this is getting on my nerves right now when i see how it goe

2009 lucky for me i bought $100 worth of coins way back when its less than a Penny..
 
2013 and yes peed of but my fault should of invested hard ....
 
2008-2009 I did mine when it was first released, then gave up before it became popular, at the time I loved the idea but nobody was accepting them and it looked like it would die out, think I still have some wallets on some old hard drives somewhere.

6 months back. And I bought bitcoin of around $300 after one month.

I messed around with mining in 2010 or maybe early 11. Dec 2011 had a nice niche going on which I tried out bitcoin payments for before switching it to cpa/paypal as I couldnt automate bitcoin payments at the time. Most of that got sold in 2013.

I tend not to throw hard disks away when I change PC's. There is a box in the attic with old hdd's going back years. Ive been through the box and scanned every damn one for any wallet.dat files earlier in the year but none found :(

What would be nice is some automated software to scan them. I might have another go then. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also I seem to remember some marketplace services on here having a thing for DOGE payments - or have I imagined that? When was that? I still got bitcoin from then but the doge is gone lol
 
Great! just what I needed a Bitcoin support thread!!:) We should start the BA (Bitcoinics Anonymous):D, and the first rule is admitting to our own mistake - I heard about Bitcoin when they were valued at about $1, and didn't buy even a single coin. To this day I am mad at me for not buying some BTC back then, and I just can't forgive my self. From mid 2013 to this day, its hard for me to talk or even think about Bitcoin, without feeling extremely stupid, enraged and sad. :(
This thread is great as I can see that I'm not alone in my mistake! ;)
And me thinking I surely was the only stupid fuck who didn't buy Bitcoin back in the good old days...
