When should I start monetizing my videos?

I have created a youtube channel and have started uploading certain videos. As of now, there are a very limited number of videos and I have kept monetization off. When should I start monetizing the videos? Is it from the start itself, or should I wait for my videos to get more popular? For some perspective, I get around 100-200 views per videos in a day.

It depends. I've turned it on almost immediately. How are you going to monetize the vids. Only Adsense?

I have created youtube channel too and i dont monetize them. I think 100-200 views is not enough to earn some buck. However, if there are not any circumstances to monetise it, why dont you do that? Anyway, i will monetize when i reach at least 50k views a day (Because of byrocracy in my country).

As of now, I'm planning only adsense. I'm new to this and hope to read through as much as i can on BHW . I got laid off my last job, and need to build up some passive income. Are there any good threads here which a newbie can read?

I suggest you to get popular those videos and monetize them. If you are monetizing from the start, then how you are going to make popular?
I have made two videos at the beginning one I made popular by third party surfer at the first and after few months the views are 1000 daily for that video. I could not imagine how it gone and at the same the other video wasn't promoted and it has only few hits in a month less than hundred.

Thanks for your comments. I have one more query. Should I create a separate adsense account for stuff which is not exactly "family-oriented" so as to say? I have read about people getting banned for having more than one adsense account? What does that actually means, and how does Google figure out duplicate accounts?
