Good question, i would like to hear a guru answer on this XD
From my experience, you always need to pump views in a video, or else you won't make even 100 views a day. I'm talking about views from social platforms, facebook, twitter, and not social-exchange sites like vagex, syv which mean nothing else to the video other than raising the view count.
I made an experiment with a vid, reached 15.000 and i've let the video alone to see where it goes. The results are just f***ed up. After two months made only 1.000 views
I've attended some major film festivals for amazing short films that blow freddiew's videos out of the water! 100 times more impressive and cooler! Huge crews and budgets! It's takes them months and years to make these! Then these guys upload their videos to youtube expecting to get millions of views because the videos are so amazing and they end up getting 0. Even though everybody always keeps saying all you have to do is make great videos to get lots of views! But they can't get any views at all!
not many. depends on how good your keyword research is. i don't add any views to my vids and i've gotten thousands of views in a months time. i think its all about how much competition your video has and how good your keyword research is and how u use it.
