I hear many get business through WhatsApp though I have absolutely no idea how.

Usually, I take on a new field/thing on my own as a challenge but still have a bit of knowledge beforehand, here there is none.

So before I delve into this land, I thought I would ask if any of you use WhatsApp for business and if so, are there any guides/tips that you would recommend?

I just use it to discuss tactics and share ideas with business friends. Not sure why people try to use it for promoting business to strangers, I just block anyone that I don't know no matter the message.

Whats app, should be on your your homepage, so your clients can contact you. Its a messaging tool. Not a spamming tool really.

Yes, a lot of people actually do run parts of their business through WhatsApp, but the key is understanding that it works differently from email or ads. People are much more sensitive on WhatsApp, so if you just send bulk messages, you’ll likely get blocked.

What usually works is:

  • Building lists from people who already interacted with your brand (leads, old customers, inquiries).
  • Using WhatsApp Business features like quick replies, catalogs, and automated greetings.
  • Keeping it conversational — not just pitching, but actually answering questions or giving updates.

There are also some tools (like WupHub) that help manage larger-scale messaging in a safer way by spreading out delivery and letting you organize chats better.

If you start with small, real interactions and grow from there, you’ll see it can become a serious sales/support channel.
