What's your take on alcohol?

I am a person who loves money. Let's just say money is the only goal for me. In our country, drinking is a way to connect, and helps us earn more money from the connections we make. I am 23 years old and drank a lot in the past. Now I have not completely given up alcohol, but the harmful effects of alcohol are very bad. so I decided to get married and you know the magical effect of a wife is that she will always grumble every time you get drunk. Being scolded by my wife many times helped me quit drinking, guys. You can try this method, but consider carefully before doing it.... hahaha

Drinking in moderation can be said to be fine. Drinking in the morning on a Monday is not likely very good. If you're using alcohol to cope from something, it's just hiding the problem from reality. This is something I need to be told more of these days. I've always drank, never had an issue with it. Just don't drink too much and it can get you, both from a hangover part and from a relationship impacting part. I dream of a day where I won't drink any longer. My mom did it and seemed to be better from it. Maybe that'll be me one day.

23 years old married

Wtf bro

You wanted to say 33 I guess

I 've been a prime minister since 11 years old, so I need to have some whiskey daily to get by.

For me,
I've been an entrepreneur since 14 years old. Very cheesy to say, but I have always been 'too successful' for my age, in terms of revenue.

Being responsible for money that surpasses the amount of yearly income for most at the age of 16 is very, very stressful.
That led me to chronic stress that I've now had for almost 4 years. That stress has led me to irreversible heart damage and I've now been diagnosed with a heart condition that will very likely end me before I turn 30, if I keep my current pace of working.

Ever since I turned 18, I have suppressed my stress with alcohol, and have found myself drinking on a Monday morning way too many times. I've found drinking to be a way to escape stress, work duties, and life in general.
Though, I'm now proud to say that I've been 'clean' of alcohol for a few weeks now.

If you've ever had any problems with alcohol and have been able to quit it, how did you do it?
What's your take on the stuff?
Hit the gym daily and cold baths afterwards, not shower, just cold baths, with ice if possible. I've tried it all but with this one, got me a home run. Out of alcohol for 1.5 years. I still have some stress from days to days, but overall, I can manage it. Improved sleep, lower the anxiety, more cool, calm collected!

Same here high revenue since a young age.

If you're drinking that much then it means there is something in your life that's out of control and you're not happy with it, I've drink heavy for months where I had to do things just to afford new projects.

If you're a high earner and young then save and find something that makes you truly happy.

"First the man takes the drink, then the drink takes the man."

You should find other ways to cope with responsibilities and de-stress. Time and place for everything, including, alcohol.

The sad news is that I got married at the age of 23 bro :weep:
And you already regret that... :(

I hope she's rich though as money is important for you.

Optimism > drugs / alco.

We use short name "alko" / alco in Polish for alcohol. Funny?

Some even just say "alc". But that's rare.

Marry for money. Too late.

You need to file for divorce.

Or teach her business.

Many guys run business with wife.

You'll be happy I hope. There's still some chance.

I have been taught from a very early age that alcohol is a bad thing. It's programmed into me and I subconsciously can't consume it.

I have dreams that I steal. I dream about scamming large firms. But not doing that. In reality only I do break TOS.

Formally I'm called sociopath. Seriously I have documentation for that. Psychologists say marketing is machiavellianism by nature. Strategic focus on self interest. :D

I sympathize with IamScammer user.

I have couple felonies on my account. Related to drugs not stealing. But I was tempted to break the law.

When I was 14 I set a goal for myself to kill someone before I become 30. This one is scary. I have a list of potential victims in my head.

Not that I intend to kill someone. It's just thoughts. Many people think of killing someone. But I go hard with it.

What do you think is the driving factor of you having all these wills and tendencies?

What do you think, as a future parent, one can do to minimize the possibility of their child experiencing a similar path?

Neglect of parents. Unfulfilled needs. Focus on hate. Being manipulated and used as a tool. Being hated instead of loved. Controlled in harmful ways so I get hurt instead of developed like other kids. A careless parent will make situation bad. That's like letting a few year old cross streets, metaphorically.

Simply caring and giving love and speaking in careful manner to kids while avoiding alcohol focusing on help and growth is gonna help. If something goes wrong, parent should educate themselves and focus on professional help. if another parent is bad, just leave. Don't force kid to live with a psycho.

You are one strong lad. Having to go through all the darkness and instead of losing your mind, now sitting here and rationally analyzing what did go wrong and making conclusions isn't something the young generation is capable of. You will make a good parent.

Yeah. People on trauma believe they'll be like that all their life. That there's no way to change. This uneducated belief drives and derails them and their surroundings.

And like minded people to me just said they can't have kids because they fear they'll go through the same. It's not necessarily true if the parent learns how to keep integrity and solve their own problems.

It's a bunch of simplistic thought patterns driving other patterns that dissolve with time as you replace them with new ones.

It takes a little bit of self discovery and courage to begin the transformation process. Not every person that does something bad self reflects. Some never do.
