I've been thinking and watching a few videos about cold calling.

To me

Cold calling seems like it would be the ultimate cold approach.

You could probably use cold DMS and email to then when you call be like yo did you get my emails and texts.

Anyone do cold calling here?

I think if you master cold calling you'd already be light years ahead of people who rely on solely cold DMS or email though.

Probably best to use all though.

PS: I believe if you truly believe in your product or service cold calling should be easier to deal with.

PPS: Yes I'm thinking more along the lines of b2b but if you have your customers permission then b2c is entirely on the table.

In an era where autism is in rise, people will probably demand you for cold calling them and you will probably be in jail in no time. I've seen entire conferences about people discussing on how uncomfortable and anxious is to do a little chit chat on an elevator. Do it at your own risk.

When was the last time you got sold on something from a cold phone call approach? lol

I used to work for a cold calling mobile phone company that gave great deals on mobile phone contracts. People aren't as receptive to cold calling now, as when mobiles first came out, speaking to someone was a gimmick. Yet now we all know people who get scammed from cold call scammers. Much nicer business model to work on warm leads. Then the client can almost always be expected to make a purchase.

It may work but you have to prepare for facing few hundred rejections to get one or two conversion

Also trust factor with cold calling is really low due to scams

As an autistic person, I can agree xD, cold calls don't work for me, I can't remember the last time I picked up a call from a stranger or a random phone number, I think this is no longer as efficient as it was a few years ago, nowadays there are many people who prefer to read messages or emails than talk on the phone

I have executed more than 30000 cold calls over the years. I used to work in a call center.

I agree, for conversions it is way better than emails and SMS.

Since it's a tedious process, it's better for high ticket items.

With experience in call center and online lead generation, I would say it depends on what you are selling.

If it's B2C, it used to be great option but now it's mostly inbound calls which works and it will save you lot of money. Just doing outbound cold calling is risky and doing it alone as strategy won't work as mindset is completely different now versus 5 years back.

I still know people doing cold calling but that's on a very small scale for upselling. Would recommend inbound calls only in B2C space.

For B2B, cold calling still exists and it works. If you strategize it with LinkedIn DMs, SMS, Cold emailing then it will work wonders for you.

Do keep in mind that one DNC call change your life upside down so, please make sure before calling on any third party lists.

In my opinion, cold calling can be a powerful tool if done effectively. It allows for direct communication with potential clients and can create a personal connection that emails and DMs sometimes lack. However, it's important to approach it strategically and respectfully, ensuring that the recipient is open to receiving your call. Ultimately, mastering cold calling can set you apart from others who rely solely on digital communication methods. Just remember to believe in your product or service and be prepared to handle objections confidently. Good luck!

In my opinion, cold calling can be a powerful strategy if done correctly. It allows for a direct and personal approach that can help you stand out in a crowded market. However, it's important to be respectful of the person you are calling and to make sure you believe in the product or service you are offering. Building a strong rapport with potential clients through cold calling can definitely set you apart from the competition.

I totally agree! Cold calling is tough but powerful if you get good at it. It cuts through the noise way faster than DMs or emails. Mixing all three is smart, and yeah, if you really believe in what you're offering, it definitely makes those calls feel more natural.
