What's your favorite messenger and why?

I communicate a lot on the Internet. It's working and personal communication. All people have different messengers and I have to use everything. There are Telegram, Skype, Viber, Whatsapp. I don't trust everyone. I don't know the secure messenger that everyone uses.

Telegram is the best. Security, stickers, groups, fast interface.

Unfortunately there is no secured one which is popular and used by masses.
We only can try to tell people around to start using it.
For me Telegram was the best option till I realized that is not safe as many might think.

Whatsapp because all friends are using it.
Telegram is my favorite and most safety. But not a lot of friends/business contacts there yet.
Skype for business messages around the world and calls.

But you can use Telegram for calls as well.
I ended up to use Skype when it started to download too slow and caused really bad performance.
I really curious why they don't improve it yet?

I think Telegram is the best in terms of security nowadays

Well, it's not like that.
Telegram's operator is able to read all the users messages.
It's insecure and vulnerable since it still can't be fixed as some good sources reported.
Telegram products were affected by the vulnerability.
I guess this is the last big flaw which will be fixed.

Really? I thought messages in Telegram are encrypted in such a way that no-one can read them including the operator. May I ask what the sources of that info are? I'm very interested..hmm

There are many authority websites reported about that.
I think those who really worrying about messages privacy are already look through this issue.
And Durov himself reported in his Telegram channel that "Desktop app wasn’t secure because it leaked IP addresses when used to accept a voice call".

I've somehow missed that. Anyway, I like Durov's approach, hopefully he'll manage to fix the flaws.

I hope so, because it was my favorite messenger for years.
But I still think that it's on the first place for attackers. Popular secured messenger can't be safe for a long time since it really attracts hackers.

Whatsapp business, Hike

Hike is new one right?
Just looked through it and it seemed to be simple instant messaging app, but unfortunately, no protection of data provided.

Wow, there are so many Telegram users here! I didn't even expect that - I thought that Telegram is commonly russian messenger.

What are you offering? How do we tell people? You and I can't stand next to the big developers.
