What's your experience with Namecheap hosting?

I tried them and then moved to WPX, as I found it poor.
I would agree not the best they provide good support normally but if you have real issues pretty useless normally.

I run a small web designing agency in my country and I have been using Namecheap for like 3+ years. I started with the basic plan which could host 3 websites. I was satisfied with that and upgraded to "Stellar Plus" where you can host few more sites.

In the Stellar Plus package, I have hosted around 8 WordPress websites at the moment and doing fine. And I use Cloudflare too. I will attach a screenshot with the stats of one of my websites hosted in that, so you can get some kind of an idea about the scale and the traffic of those. I can guarantee that a few websites of this scale will do very well with Namecheap.

And people have said in the previous replies that the Namecheap hosting is bloody slow, but from my experience, I am saying that you can optimize your WordPress website to make it load faster. I have good grades in Google Page Speed insights and in other checking tools, so no problem with Namecheap.

Their Live chat is okay but there will be some delays when they reply and if you are not worried to spend like 30 mins to explain your problem and get it solved, then Namecheap is good for you.

And when considering the price, I can say Namecheap is very good. It's a fraction of a dollar per month for a website if you know what you are doing. You have to choose what websites to host there. I bought a Contabo VPS to host a website that has relatively high traffic.

And the other point that I want to highlight is that web hosting is a business that lies heavily on affiliate marketing. Companies like Siteground, Bluehost, Hostgator are spending heavily on this while Namecheap affiliate commissions are relatively low. That is why you find so many articles on the web, focussing on those hosting services.

As a whole, I can say that Namecheap is a good web hosting service and I recommend that.

I am using Namecheap from last 4 years - One of my static website gets 10,000-15,000 visitors a day. Never faced any issue with the speed.

I have been using name cheap since 2016
I love namecheap that i use it till date for my website and my client websites.
What made gave me the first good impression was their customer support. You get good help if you are on shared hosting but on dedicated server sometimes you are likely on your own.
I have used shared, vps and dedicated plans.

Now no good hosting without a downside
I had a website getting up to 40k+ pageviews on name cheap with issues but I observe that when I have 300+ active online users i do ran out of bandwidth so i will be getting the bandwith limit exceeded error on my site untill the traffic reduces to less than 320 active users online before it comes back (I keep track with google analytics).
Another observation is that the port speed is not fast you will only notice it when you are transferring or downloading files to your website using terminal.
You will probably not notice it or doesn’t affect you website loading time.

I also noticed that the shared hosting plan can handle high traffic then the dedicated server.

Maybe just get unlimitied bandwidth hosting. LOL

There’s nothing like unlimited
It’s a marketing strategy
One way or the other you will be limited maybe by limiting you to hosting maximum of 300,000 files while giving you unlimited disk lol.

So just setup your own servers. It's cheap.

Name cheap is good for start up of hosting web service..you can use it for your website if it as less traffic.. for higher traffic to can try some others..

I'm using it since a while and I'd advice it for newbies or people looking for domain parking.

Even websites can be started here, but if you want to look elsewhere when you wanna do some more serious business.

The live chat is always there, but not always very helpful. The knowledge base is not bad though.

I use it mainly to buy domains for my clients, which I'll use to do outreach.

Recently made an account there, and grabbed a cheap domain (~2USD for a year) and it went ez pz,I'd suggestion them.
