Hi everyone,

I'm curious to know what SEO challenge you're currently dealing with. For me, it's getting pages to more from page 2 to page 1.

What about you ?

For me the biggest challenge is to maintain the ranking on first page of Google SERP when competition is too high.

It's very hard for me to comprehend why two pages having the same keyword should act diffrently. there can be times when the poorer performing page wins, and all this becomes known only by understanding the users intent.

It’s not the indexing part nor the ranking in the first place, but getting past the top ten. It looks like most of the keywords on Page 2 require improvement in terms of topi depth, internal linking and authority

My biggest challenge now is not new articles, but updating old pages that already have impressions in GSC.
On my car blog, this gave better results than just publishing more content: in 3 months, the average position moved from 26.7 to 7.4 and CTR grew by 2.2%.
For new articles, I now build structure from pages that are already in top 3–10, so the main topics become stronger and better connected.

Mine is similar pushing pages from positions 11–20 into top 10 is the hardest part right now. Once a page hits page 1, its much easier to scale it up but that initial jump is tricky.

My biggest challenge right now is getting new content indexed quickly. Sometimes, pages get crawled fast but they takes time to get traffic and ranking.

right now, my bigest damn headache is gettin AI Overviews and ChatGPT to actually cite my brand instead of just premium big-media sites for ur page 2 problem, try internal linkin from ur top-performing pages usin exact anchors—it usually gives that extra push faster than buildin new backlinks

as a beginner for me the biggest challenge is finding ways to compete in specific niches while continuing to learn and improve my SEO skills.

i would tell biggest challenge is SERP's content should be stand out.

To me, that means optimizing CTR for pages that are already ranking 5-15. Small changes in titles and meta tags and better search intent correlation usually yield more impact than creating more links at that point

Ngl my biggest SEO nightmare right now is survivin the massive fallout from the May 2026 Core Update while concurrently optimisin for Google's new AI Mode search box, because if your content doesn't pack an immediate "answer capsule" in the first 100 words to get cited in their Gemini-synthesized summaries, your traditional click-through rate drops by like 60% and your organic traffic goes completely kaputt, bloody hell

My biggest SEO challenge right now isn't rankings, it's attribution.

People are discovering brands through so many different touchpoints now: AI answers, Reddit threads, YouTube videos, and social posts. They only search the brand name directly after they already know what they want.

The problem is that most analytics setups still give credit to the last click, which makes our SEO work look weaker than it actually is.

I have built pages that barely gained organic clicks on their own, but they noticeably bumped up branded searches, direct visits, and overall conversions. Traditional SEO metrics just don't capture that anymore.

The real challenge in 2026 is proving SEO's actual contribution when Google search isn't the first or last step in the journey. Ranking is easy to measure; influence is hard.

I am spending way less time obsessing over keyword positions now, and a lot more time tracking brand mentions, branded search growth, and overall visibility everywhere else.

for me the biggest challenge right now is improving CTR on pages that already rank in the top 10 small title and meta description tweaks can make a big difference but finding the right angle takes time

mine's indexing speed, new pages just sit there for weeks now. page 2 to 1 used to be about links, feels more about engagement signals now

competition.
For short keywords, it is impossible for someone getting on top first page something who is new in technical aspects.
also i feel seo takes a lot of time. it is not like expecting good things or start getting good traffic from first month

My main challenge is getting more high quality and relevant backlinks.
