Whats up with the First-Page nowdays?

Am I the only one who thinks that Googles first page is so fucked up nowdays?

I am seeing that, blackhat or whitehat tactics doesnt work on first page either.
(I am not talking about tactics, that can fire a site from #60 to #25 with some shitty pbn links. Because yes, thats "rocket science" is obviously still working, and this is not a blackhat seo or pbn is dead type of post so please leave these comments out)

The problem is on the first page in serp. It looks like google started to favorize some sites depends on a "who-the-fuck-knows" parameter. For example, in my niche I see sites for medium-hard kw difficulty on the first 5 positions like:

- 10 backlink site (no hidden pbns), with never optimized, minimal textual content on a 2yrs old domain
- site fueled with 500 total crap obvious blogroll pbn
- old site with 50 referring domain via 301
- 3000000 backlinked gsa artist
- site that hass been dead for 1 year, where the last post was in 2016

Yes they are all good in something, but there is not a single pattern in the first sites that are similar. Content, Site architecture, Backlinks, Freshness, Size, Age, all of them are totally different. And sometimes google shows 2 page from the same domain in the top5. WTF?

Whats your tought on this? Have you experienced something similar?

I actualy write comment yesterday on one thread about same thing.. Exactly what i see in my couple niches. #1 #2 are ranking with gsa spam, #3 rank with 10 RD absolutely non relevant anchors and some .ru and .ua links (no hidden pbn) then #4 is me with PBN and again #5 spam.. i was ranking #1 almost 3 years but recently got outranked by these sites.. My competition mostly not good in anything content trash 100-200 words and some have nothing other than products listed, anchors abuse yet they rank 500+ keywords for homepage..
I tried adding more pbn links but not possible to return its like they not have any effect.. very frustrating

Holy shit I am seeing the same thing, and for tough AF keywords as well... Basically its like niche sites have just disappeared and on few keywords that I can find niche sites they are all ranking on the 2nd page+

Whereas the first page basically has articles that are not even trying to rank and are just there by fluke or whatever google has in mind for this.

I am seeing this with my website as well, surprisingly.. 2 of the articles jumped to first page without backlinks automatically whereas the pages that I sent and optimized for rankings is still on page 2(Easy AF keyword).

I think strategies are changing and this is why SEO has become harder, Rankbrain is becoming more active and just linking directly to money pages might not be an option anymore.

This is what I am seeing in Best ... niches.. I spoke with a guy big in hacks/cracks and he also said the same thing. Atleast a 4 month buffer on new pages on new sites and then sudden jump. Depending on how well you had the whole setup you could end up on first page or directly on 2nd or something.

For all the people who are going to be like who nothing is changing cause I went from page 6 to page 3, jumping from 80 to 20 is no big deal, I can do that in sleep... If your strategy is working on getting to first page then lets talk.

I think Google has messed it all up. Sites with useless content and no backlinks whatsoever are no.1. A site that is no.1 all of a sudden is not seen in top 100. Crappy sites are ranking. Not sure whats happening.

Its the same story for long tail keywords too
