What's so special about GeneratePress?

When I ask what is the best theme for wordpress, 90% of the answers will be that it's GeneratePress. What's so special about it, except for the speed? What advantages does it have besides that? Before buying I want to know why should I pay $250 for lifetime premium ?
I personally like Soledad btw

Look bro, when you build a site on WP you need a theme that is popular, why? because it is constantly maintained. That's what you're really paying for. Something that stays up to date and is mainstream so the dev doesn't abandon it. This is how you get a product that won't get abandoned and will stand the test of time. Everything else is a wash.

The old fart has one to, paid $39 for unlimited sites back in the days. One of the best WP licenses I bought with no regrets.
 
You don't need the premium
The free version is the lightweight one (less code)
 
My agency has used it in over 50 blogs and clients love it. Its both easy to use, lightweight, and SEO-friendly. The Premium gives you more advantage

This plus take a look at GP forums itself.
The mods & admin himself helps it's members.
They clearly know what they are doing.
Can't say the same about alot of the other themes on the market.

What the actual hell why are there so many good demos on this theme and here i thought it was crap when i seen it few years ago on wordpress theme library

Even if you buy a license today that is way more expensive than I paid, you gonna make that money back by using their support forum that is fantastic in value for WordPress users, they even answer questions not related to generatepress .. Best support out there among WordPress products and services.

I mean i am kind of a cheapstake I don't care if something is under 100$ i just buy it but if it's over 100$ I'd rather check first if i cam get it cheaper somewhere then buy, but i will definitely get this for one or two of my sites

You can download it from my share thread or buy a license from the marketplace, think it was something like $6 per site here on the forum.
 
Actually because generate press is the fastest wordpress themes available as it is designed to be lightweight and designed for speed
