What's so special about GeneratePress?

When I ask what is the best theme for wordpress, 90% of the answers will be that it's GeneratePress. What's so special about it, except for the speed? What advantages does it have besides that? Before buying I want to know why should I pay $250 for lifetime premium ?
I personally like Soledad btw

Something that stays up to date and is mainstream so the dev doesn't abandon it. This is how you get a product that won't get abandoned and will stand the test of time. Everything else is a wash.

This plus take a look at GP forums itself.
The mods & admin himself helps it's members.
They clearly know what they are doing.
Can't say the same about alot of the other themes on the market.

Even if you buy a license today that is way more expensive than I paid, you gonna make that money back by using their support forum that is fantastic in value for WordPress users, they even answer questions not related to generatepress .. Best support out there among WordPress products and services.

I mean i am kind of a cheapstake I don't care if something is under 100$ i just buy it but if it's over 100$ I'd rather check first if i cam get it cheaper somewhere then buy, but i will definitely get this for one or two of my sites

You can download it from my share thread or buy a license from the marketplace, think it was something like $6 per site here on the forum.
